Hi girls, Anyone use OPK's so think they know when they ovulated and then had a long luteal phase? According to my peak reading I will have ovulated 19 days ago. Still no sign of AF. Done early/sensitive HPT with BFN. Just looking for some reassurance that I'm not the only one! Usually my luteal phase is pretty spot on 14 days. X

As far as I know if luteal goes over 18 days it means you are pregnant. But obviously once you have a pos opk it can still take u up to 48 hrs to ovulate. Does sound like something different is happening..

Thanks sunflower. Yes it is definitely strange and different. Been trying onconceive a while now so am fairly familiar with my body but not had this before (not even with previous MC) x

So period is now 12 days late. BFN on all tests so thinking now could I have missed a period? Anyone had this before?

I've skipped a period completely before, no idea why it happened! And doctors couldn't give me any answers.. so it's possible to skip.

Any stresses in your life? Change of diet or exercise?

Hi Millie, nothing dramatic or out of the ordinary. Usual work stress etc! I had dropped exercise right down and picking it up a bit now but nowhere near excessive! Just want to know where my cycle is at, v frustrating. X

The length of your LP should ideally stay the same, a day more or a day less won't be out of the ordinary but usually if it varies from cycle to cycle or it is reduced drastically (under 10days) or lengthened (more than 18 days) with no clear indication of pregnancy, you should see your doctor. It can be anything from an anovulatory cycle (where you'll have a break through bleed later on), cysts, hormonal imbalances etc. Best to get it checked to be on the safe side.
