LO Temperature - please help?

Hey ladies

I've posted this in 'ask a mum' too....would you be concerned with a temperature of 38.1? LO is 11 weeks on Monday!

She felt warm and has been grumbly which isn't like her......should we be concerned at that temp?

It's maybe coming with sth. If temperature under 38.5 it's ok without any meds. At over 38.5 you should give her some calpol maybe as she is close to 3 months old or try a bath first. I would go with her to her doctor if temp over 38.5 though especially as she is under 3 months old.

Calpol has refine its ages, it now stats from 2months! How did you take Los temp? Mines and under arm one and says to add 0.5 to the displayed temp! Hope she's better soon x

Hi

She was grumbly all night so had some calpol at. 2.30am and was ok this morning til it wore off! Gave her some more at lunch and she's just been sleeping and cuddling all day!

She's really drooly too so not sure if she's teething or if it's too early?

It's an under arm thermometer and temp down a bit today! Gonna see if she's still grumbly when OH gets home and might call out of hours gp!

Hate it when they're not right x

smith if its an underarm one then the real temperature (the one that you should get if you use a rectal, oral or the one that goes in the ear thermometer) is like 0.5 higher than your reading. so if your reading is 38.1 the true one is 38.6 and you judge by that. or you buy a thermometer for the ear.

i hope you LO feels better already. its possible for teething to start this early but you should exclude sth else first i suppose in such a young baby. hope its just a common cold.

She tucked up in bed bless her! OH was at footie today and was texting all day to check on her and she's been real grumbly and wouldn't let me put her down at all.... So I tell oh all this in texts!

As soon as he gets home she's right as rain! Think the little monkeys been playing me lol....at 11 weeks! Hmmmmm xx
