hey ladies!
Theo loves sucking and we have tried advent 0-3 flat dummy and the tippee tommee orthodontic ones... but he just cant seem to keep them in his mouth for longer then 20seconds. means he gets upset when it falls out and we are continually getting up to put his dummy back in...

any suggestions? whats the best ones/shape for keeping it in his mouth??? he has a very strong suck, but just cant seem to go it.

(he is bottle fed, so no need to worry about nipple confusion)

thankx

Have u tried other makes? I used the Mam ones but Finlay still spat it out. Only way to keep it in way to put his hand in front of it  But he sleeps on his front so that helped.

have you tried using ones with bigger teets? if he is bottle fed, maybe try and find ones with a similar shaped teat to his bottle teat. We keeo the dummy pressed on dylans mout for a few seconds until he gets to grip with the suck. He still confuses the bottle teat with the dummy teat.

I wasn't going to use dummies but when I found Connie sucking on the leg of a teddy bear I bought her some  . She spits out the Tommee Tippee ortho dummies and is much happeir with the cheap dummies I bought from the local shopp which are bigger and rounder.

My little man had the same problem and we found that he would keep the cherry shape in longer. The cheaper the better. xxx

Gosh I wish I had never started her on one :wall:
They are a nightmare in the long run and I am trying to wean her off it
Not very easy :wall:

I would say what have already been said, try different teets until you find the right one.

Good luck hun :)
