Hello everyone.
I've only been an occasional writer on the forum, but I used to read and follow every week. All the advice and comments have helped me keep sane during pregnancy
Big Thanks to everyone.
I wanted to let everyone know that Charlie was born 3 days early on Thursday 13th September at 1:26am weighing in at 6 pounds 4. He is absolutely amazing.
It all happened quite quickly. I thought my waters were starting to leak on Wednesday evening (either that or I was pissing myself everytime I moved, ha ha). The hospital advised to pop down that evening to get checked out, but not to hurry as they were v busy.
Cue the trip to the local chippy for my chips and cheese butty - I still wasn't feeling any pain other than general period cramp that I'd had all day.
We got to the hospital at about 10pm, still in waiting room at 11:30pm when I had sudden pop and a contraction. When the midwife checked me at 12pm I was 9cm dilated and was whisked off to delivery.
It's the most amazing feeling in the world hugging your new baby
I'll no doubt be stalking everyone's posts over the next few months.
