So iv made a list of everything I need to get for a newborn but
Still feel like I'm forgetting half the stuff we're going to need can anyone
Help me by telling me what they have or are getting

I'll be doing my list on Monday after our scan

I am so glad I have my sister and SIL to help (they've both recently had babies and my SIL is preggers again)

I wouldn't know where to begin

I asked my mum & she said that we shouldn't buy to much for a new born as they
Grow out of things so fast but Im so confused on how much to get & what we will need
To start with.

i found that the mothercare boook or the bounty books we got had some good lists in them for what youd need, i didnt get everythng on the list as i knew i wouldnt want/need them x

Do you know the sex hun?

We're not finding out so I think that will make it easier to scale down on buying clothes.

The things I have on list already are:

* cotbed
* pram
* mattress and bedding for cotbed (we are going for a crib at first so this can wait)
* new mattress and bedding for crib (we'll have bub that for the first few months, crib is from my sister but we'll need new bedding)
* baby bath and changing mat
* bouncer
* play mat / baby gym
* breast feeding paraphanalia (including nipple cream)
* steriliser, bottles etc (in-case I can't breast feed)
* room and bath themometer
* medical supplies
* nappy changing supplies
* baby towels
* muslins
* basic clothing (neutral for us)

Other things you may need ot think of are
* car seat
* baby monitors
* nursery furniture

(we don't have a car so will borrow my sisters car seat - and car LOL) and we only have a one bed so don't have to worry about monitors and furniture

The mothercare catalogue has a really useful list in it. Again, I would just go for the basics though, babies really do grow out of things so quickly. We still have tons of unworn clothes left over from our first baby - I went waaaaay over the top LOL

Iv got on my list so far:
Hospital bag yet to buy.
Pram-travel stymo- getting brought as a gift.
Steriler kit- getting brought as gift.
Bottles.
Breast pump.
Moses basket- getting brought as gift.
Changing mat.
Baby bath.
Baby groming kit.
Baby sleeping bag.
Play mat/gym.
Bounced.
Digital thermometer.
Blankets.
Baby sponge & towels.
Sick cloths ethier terry nappies or Muslims squares.
Cloths/coats.
Bibs.
Scratched mitts.
Hats.

Not sure if I will need thermometers for bath.
Baby monitors as he'll be in are room to start.
Dummies? Do new borns use them:/

As for the bath thermometer, I bought an Avent one, which is a room + bath thermometer in one..
I've bought a couple of dummies, as he may not take to them..
