Hi ladies,
I’m so very lost at what to do. My DS 2 has a tongue tie cut at 9 weeks and has a upper lip restrictive frenulum which is now slowly being cut into by his top teeth!! My GP didn’t listen when I said about the tongue tie and I’m scared to take him to get fobbed off again! He’s literally screaming we can’t even give him dentanox due to the pain he’s in and it involved rubbing it onto his gums which if anyone’s baby has had a tongue tie divide you know it goes white once it’s begun healing that’s exactly what his lip tie is doing but it looks horrific and I don’t know who to talk to about it my hospital has a ENT waiting list of 6 months!!! My dentist won’t take on children I’m so upset for my son he’s in a lot of pain and it seems no one is trying to help us especially when I mentioned it before his tongue tie was even cut xxx

Have you tried a lactation consultant? They should be able to recommend how to get sorted sooner, 6 months is unacceptable. GPs and most health professionals are generally clueless about this type of thing, you need to go to a specialist.

I have lip and tounge tie and so does my little boy, my lip tie naturally ripped when my adult teeth grew, I think my little ones will do the same but they aren't causing either of us problems and sounds like yours needs sorting asap.

Hi Hun well the emergency dentist went mental and has made a referral now but it was ulcerated and very sore she’s very unhappy about how we didn’t get our first referral so I’m still awaiting that xxx
