hi

my LO has been lifting his head up for a couple of weeks now, but all the baby sites say he should only just start to do this now at 6 weeks. i am worried he may be trying to jump the gun a bit as he is also kicking me a lot when he is awake, like he is trying to move away.maybe he is just a bit advanced but i dont want him to hurt himself.

anyone else had this?

Elexia was lifting her head at 2 weeks old hunny, all babies progress at different speeds. While our LO's are doing this other babies will be doing something our LO's arent x x

Kynon lifts his head up too, like m2a says they all progress differently with different things. I expected Kynon to be slow with everything being a month early but he seems 'on track' which has surprised me!

Drakes been doing this too. They all develop differently and I'm not worried if hes a tad advanced :P

Tegan started lifting her head up really early. all babies do things at different times x

Caitlin was lifting her head from birth, Don't worry about it

Cesca started at about 5 days old :) You've just got a strong bubba! Definitely nothing to worry about xx

Jax has been lifting his head since birth. All babies will.teach different milestones at different ages xxx

my LO could lift his head from birth... I mentioned it to a MW, she wasn't concerned at all :) I wouldn't worry hun :)

Kayden's been doing it from birth too, I always thought it was coz he was a week late.

All babies are different though!

:)

my lil man lifter his head when they placed him on my belly. the MW wasnt concerned at all and just watched in awe! :D dw about it! they all progress at different speeds!

I felt the same with Caleb! They put him on my chest after my section and the first thing he did was lift his head up to look at me! I was so shocked!

But all babies advance at different rates, my nephew still had a really floppy neck at 6/7 weeks old and struggled holding his head, but at 6 weeks old yesterday Caleb was in his door bouncer holding his head up the whole time!

And as far as the kicking goes, I'm sure he won't hurt himself :) He's probably enjoying all this strength. Caleb started getting really strong kicks around 2 weeks and now he really hurts me sometimes! At 10lb4 and a half when he was born he had a lot of weight behind him, and he's almost 12lbs now so it's worse!!!

xx
