lewis or louis ?

Hey girls, I am team yellow and if we have a boy we are calling him Lewis/Louis . How would you spell it?

It depends how you're going to pronounce it. If you pronounce it Loo-is then spell it Lewis, if you're pronouncing it Loo-ee then spell it Louis Personally, I prefer Louis xx

There are a few people who have spelt there's Louis, who pronounce it Lewis , but others that don't so I might just go for Lewis then there's no mistaking his name.

Louis I hear it pronounced 'lewy'. I'm Scottish and it's very popular here and only seen it spelt Lewis x

I think Lewis wouldn't confuse people where as Louis would.

Personally I'd spell it Louis, I think its a nicer spelling. The only reason I can see why people would assume the other pronunciation is because of the Louis from one direction! Haha

I think Lewis, to me Louis sounds like Louie, and not because of one direction! A boy in my class at school was Louis and there was one in the year above, both pronounced Louie. I knew a Lewis and a Luis at school pronounced as it should be.

I think Lewis leaves no room for error, otherwise it's like the Olympian Louis Smith, he says it like Lewis but they call him Louie on nearly everything!
