I am A RhD Negative and I've had a letter saying that I am 'D negative' and I need to be monitored and have injections etc. Also, baby needs to have an injection after birth. Something to do with my blood affecting babies blood...

Has anyone else had this??

Yep i have this, its nothing to worry about, a jab at 28 weeks and another at birth, its fairly common so dont worry :) its no danger to baby :) xx

My sister had this, it isn;t anything to worry about and all her babies (four of em) are perfectly fine...

I have had this its just extra big and cold injections :O. My 2 baby's were fine apart from jaundiced but apparently its more common with rhesus neg mums. Jaundice is very easily treated and nothing to worry about.

Yeh I have this, just means you have to have two injections to stop your body building up anti-bodies to baby, nothing to worry about. Got my anti-D injection on Thursday so will post how it goes. Got to have another one when in labour I think. It's common, my mum is rhesus negative as well and we were fine.

I have this too. When my son was born because his blood type was +, it meant I had to have an anti D jab after he was born. If baby's blood type is the same as yours you won.t need anything. Tis time round, they just monitor my blood for antibodies during pregnancy but again only reason I'll need an anti D jab will be is if baby is a different blood type, which they won't know till after baby arrives. But it's no big deal at all.

Im O Neg and have had 2 healthy babies and am due for my Anti D injection at 28 weeks too, both my babies are O Positive like their dad so i had to have a shot after birth too. xx
