leland tongue tied update

thought id post these pics for anyone who is suffering with tongue tied babies , leland was mildly tongue tied but they dont do the releasing here he would have had to go to southampton , it had already interfered with breastfeeding so it was too late to help with that so we decided not to get it released.

well this happened this week , he can know stick his tongue out , and its become a real novitly for him so his doing it all the time as u can see its still heart shape but at least it can go passed his gums !!!

this was him at 19 weeks , and this is as far as it could come out !

Thanks for posting that hun. I think that Oscar's is stretching too as he seems to be able to stick him tongue out now a bit further than at birth.

Was this just a gradual thing that you noticed? Or do you reckon teeth coming through might have helped?

i dunno mildy , it wasnt hugly noticable gradually , he started playing with his tongue more so i presumed it was loosing up a bit , then yeh his teeth have come in the last 6 weeks but is this a co-insidence ? who knows , all i know is that although its a funny shape he can deffo stick it out and lick an ice cream lol i think this is why alot of consultants want even think about realsing till a year old .
