i'm not sure of the answer hun but speaking from my experience leftovers can stay there for the remainder of the next day i think i too get confused with EWCM and leftovers quite often especailly around OV time because you tend to get more CM anyway.

its so confusing.

nice to see you haven't seen you around much lately, do you think you are OV then? or not sure? what CD are you on?

Normally I'd say about 24 hours (and it's definitely like ewcm but doesn't stretch, that's the only way I can tell) but it was rather strange last week, bd'd early friday evening, tmi but the usual amount came out straight after but nothing more came out til Sunday! it was definitely leftover as there was no stretching and there was still some coming out on Monday. Totally freaked me out should have all gone by then, can't be from more bd'ing cos we didn't get up to any (as he wasn't feeling good all weekend and is now suffering with the flu)

smell it? seriously start smelling your cm, you have a certain smell, he has a certain smell and together you have a certain smell. Leftovers tend to be creamy i'd say, depends when youre taking about - straight away or the next day when you cough or sneeze?

I was gonna say that too - you should be able to tell by the smell. Mine hardly smells, but his has a distinctive smell.

The first month I TTC, it was still coming out of me 2 days later, but after that, I beared down after I stood up so most of it comes out and just tiny bits come out the day after. I hope I'm not doing the wrong thing by bearing down. I mean I could still get pregnant, couldn't I? All the good swimmers will have swam right up by an hour later, yeah?

I'm on CD27 and think I ovulated on CD26 (which is exactly the same day as last cycle) but not had it confirmed by FF yet and not sure about my CM as we've been at it every day!

I've not been on here too much with such long 26 days waits to OV after only a 7 day luteal phase I never feel like I have much to contribute I just feel sad, does that make sense?

If you click on my link it looks like I'm gearing up to OV several times in the month but not doing it - I was looking on FF about it earlier it's annovulatory phases and there's not a main reason why this happens...

Last time was last night just before bed and this is CM today - still got it now, creamy and white coloured. Have had it for 2 days now. Will have to use my nose later then!

I thought I was the only person who sniffed her undies and I know what you mean holly, man smell is deffo different to a lady's smell. Slightly off topic though, I have real difficulty even pinpointing my fertile ewcm because I tend to get some sort of show all through the month other than when af is visiting, of course. I have never really been able to pick it up and stretch it between my fingers!

PMSL at the terminology 'leftovers' - great! I am by no means an expert but I agree about the smell concept - I find it is quite distinctive. Bleuch.
