Has anybody else had their breasts leak this early on? It happened last night while oh and I were making love. I first noticed my arm felt a bit wet but didn't think anything of it then all of a sudden there was more liquid on my arm and breast and it gave me quite a fright. Oh didn't even notice until I told him and we both couldn't stop giggling , we were like giddy school kids! I noticed afterwards that my other breast was leaking too!

I knew my breats might leak during pregnancy but did NOT expect it to happen this early!

lol that is early!! i started leaking at about 22 weeks i think x

i never started till near the end with my older son and nothing so far on this one, Guess everyone is different but its normal nothing to worry about. x

i didnt leak atall during my last pregnancy, didnt get anything untill after my son was born!! x

Nothing for me so far but as the others have said everyone is different x

I think mine started about 20 weeks, wheread with my last pregnancy I never got them at all. Dont worry though everything happens at different stages for everyone :D

Nothing so far here either. Im sure ive read somewhere that some people milk doesnt come in till a few days after baby is born. So im just wondering... if u want to breast feed and this happens obviously baby will have to be bottle fed at first, but will this affect the baby latching on when the milk does come in? xxx

Good question Heidi and I don't know the answer. My friend's milk took a few days to come through and the baby's sodium levels got very low because he wasn't getting enough (or was it high, I can't remember) so she had to bottle feed in the end.

My concern is.... I know the milk that comes in the first few days, colostrum, is really rich and has lots of nutrients and immunity for the baby. But if I'm leaking a lot during pregnancy, will there be any of this nutritious colostrum left when baby is born?

The colostrum should be enough for baby until your milk comes in.. mine didnt come in for i think it was at least 3-4 days with my son but i still only breastfed him and he was obviously getting something as he didnt lose weight.. well excpet for the normal that all babies do in the first week. I never had to top up with formula though.

Hi.. I don't want to start leaking... is it literally from you nipple area?? x
