Leaking after expressing

As the title says, I'm expressing my boob until it is empty (nothing else coming out) and as soon as I move the pump to the other boob milk starts leaking out, I have milk collection shields, but it is becoming abit annoying that there seems to be more milk in my boob I'm missing, does anyone have any tips to help with this?

I'm pretty sure you can't empty your boobs completely. Even while a baby is drinking they are making more milk. It's constant. So sounds normal to me.

Sometimes you can get a second let down - worth pumping for 10 minutes after milk has stopped flowing. Also pumping on one side stimulates supply in the other side.
It can take a while for supply to settle as well so depends how old lo is.
I double pumped so that saved me this problem! X

Lo is 4 weeks..... I only have a single pump, was all I could afford I'm afraid! X

I think once you hit the six week mark your supply is established and more stable. I hired a double pump but that was purely when I exclusively expressed - I made do with a single up until then and got on just fine x
