Right I have a little worry..
I suppose its been a few weeks now of not having any so something was bound to crop up!! :/
I've been concerned about how damp I've been feeling, and it could very well be discharge or wee. (Lovely!) But what if it's my waters leaking? And I do nothing about it. My waters have never broke before, but with my last son they leaked when I got to hospital at 5cm, and it felt like id just wee'd myself and I'd only just been the toilet. I'm having a lot of pains down below tonight and low back ache, and put that down to walking yesterday. I keep changing my pantyliner, and I still have the normal discharge, but I'm also wet, like water wet! Woke up wet this morning but I'd been up in the night for toilet anyway. It's not a pool and doesn't seem much but it is getting quite constant over the last week I'd say. Any thoughts? Am I probably just wee'ing myself?? :/ :) :) x

I've had loads too - noticed more this week and actually getting a small rash where I'm obviously wet and then knickers are rubbing. Sorry TMI. X x

I'm only 27+1 so hope it's not waters x x x

Hope all is ok bunny! This is my fourth and I still worry!! It could just be watery discharge. I have researched and waters can leak over a period of time, I don't know what the procedure is guess it depends on each circumstance! It's just the risk of infection I think and obviously baby needs fluid around them. It doesn't seem like the normal discharge I have that on the pad too, this seems to seep through into knickers just like wee/water. I'm just in agony tonight and not had any food because in not hungry and been for a number 2 three times(tmi!) Dont feel massively concerned as I can only assume i am weeing myself! :/ or its dischargee. Just wondered if anyone that's further along, or had this in previous pregnancies. I know diacharge increases at the end. Just don't recall ever feeling wet! Xx

I think I've said this to you before sugar but I'm the same (minus the pain). Very wet, as soon as I'm off the toilet there seems to be watery discharge on my panty liner. I've noticed this for at least 2 weeks. No pain and no funny smells so I haven't been worried xx

Yea think you have. It's abit odd isn't it!! :/ im really conscious of what Im wearing and trying to stick with black leggings or trousers! :/ least all these delights are all worth it :) x x

I'm not so much conscious of what I'm wearing I just hate the icky feeling of being wet xx

I have no experience of this Im afraid but I read another similar post and people seemed to suggest that wee smells like wee, whilst amniotic fluid is either odourless or smells like semen!? (Though I imagine discharge would also be odourless) but you could add to the glamorous dignity of pregnancy and sniff your knickers - at least to establish/rule out urine
If it is in fact odourless you could ask your midwife about it?
Xxx

I've had had this, exactly the same as you have described! I've got a mw appt on Friday so I'm going to ask her about it, I'll let you know :) xxx

Thanks!! It's a worry isn't it, I don't want to be assuming I'm wee'ing myself when im leaking amniotic fluid. I see the midwife next week but let me know definitely. I'll even ring the hospital later if I'm still concerned. Xx

My midwife is calling me sometime today because I asked her about it last night and she said its best to speak on the phone but not to worry , will keep you posted x x x

Brill Thankyou, hope all is well with you. We are right to worry and ask questions, and it's what they are there for too. Xx

My midwife is on holiday Text my stand in midwife and she's just called me and she's coming tomorrow to take a urine sample and send if off for testing and doing a spectrum. So much more efficient then my midwife x x x

Oh bunny that's abit odd, I'd have thought she'd have requested a urine sample straight away, and I'm sure it doesn't have to be sent off to check for amniotic fluid? Or maybe I'm wrong. It'll be sent off for check for infection etc though. Hope all is ok x

I only had a urine sample last week at my normal midwife app so I think she's just being extra helpful and putting my mind at rest x x x

Hope it's not your waters, im def weeing myself ladies. Bladder never fully emptys and so I can pee in loo, then incontinent old lady style pee on pantyliner as a result of purely just washing my hands after!! I'm used to tgis as have had bladder surgery before. It will get better afterwards xx

Do ask your midwife Sugar and bunny , it really can get worse with a wee infection x

Thanks jj mum, I'm definately going to ring if I'm still concerned. I'm concerned about the agony im in with my lower back too. Hoping the walk on Sunday is to blame. But I can barely move so that along with wirh the leaking does cause some worry! ! Haha 'old lady' cracked me up! I can easily leak abit when not pregnant, as a consequence of having children! But this is more than just a leak when I sneeze or get up. I don't even realise it comes out sometimes and I just end up realising I'm wet! Wearing sanitary towels not panty liners now. See how it goes. X x

My midwives coming round this morning :)

I'm really struggling with bottom of the back pain too xxx

She didn't do the spectrum in the end she said she thinks baby is perfect and she's in a really good position for labour already which is brilliant. She's sending my urine off for more tests just to stop me worrying and we listened to baby's heartbeat again and it's fine. She said the water loss could even be urine because it happens to a lot of pregnant women around this stage as baby is putting a lot more pressure on my bladder. She's chasing up my bloods to make sure my iron is ok with me being tired but she did say that could be because of baby's growth suddenly.

Advised to do more pelvic floor exercises x x x
