Late ovulation and timing of BD?

Hiya so I normally get a peak (positive opk) by cd12 but it’s still high fertility and negative so I am a bit confused now as this never happened. Is it normal to have delayed ovulation? And do you think I could still ovulate on cd13 with a short surge? My cycles are never long always around 25 to 26 days. What normally happens is that I get LH surge on cd11 or 12 than ovulate on 13 so I am confused about this. Also I just don’t know if it worth BD tonight as we did it last night. If I get my peak tomorrow then I will have to do that as well. And if we don’t BD tonight I might end up missing my ovulation. Any advice?

Every other day is meant to be fine, so you can wait til tomorrow. High fertility isn't a negative really as there is still a chance that having sex during it will lead to pregnancy. If you don't BD tonight I don't think you'll miss ovulation as you haven't had a peak yet and you BD yesterday anyway. How many days of High fertility have you had? I had 4 the other month. Ovulation day can move a little month to month - mine does. Just keep testing.

Hiya today is my 5th high fertility never happened before. I really want my peak now. I have the ovulation pains but no peak or no cm, really strange. I normally have lots of cm by now and my peak. It’s quite frustrating not to get the usual things. I also ran out of the Clearblue sticks so I am relying on the boots opks to check it. Amount of money I spent on these tests ��

Also just to add is there a chance I ovulated but missed the surge ? The line on the opk is getting lighter now. It was a little dark in the morning but got lighter by the evening.

I often get my lh surge over night and cb fail to pick it up! Ive not used opks this month as going to listen to my body....ive had a bit of pinkish ewcm and ovulation cramps today so reckon im ovulating today/tonight. Good luck i hope now your opk is getting lighter that youve had the surge so you can take a break soon x

The only thing I changed this month is I started taking b6 vitamins. Just reading up on it says it could delay ovulation so not sure whether I ovulated or not so I might just keep bd every other day.

If yoy can manage it then worth it to cover yourself. I reckon im about to O so will dtd again tom or early xmas day....and then thats me....done with ttc.....hope you get better luck this cycle x

I think I read B6 can mess things up. I'd just BD every other day. It's meant to be better for sperm quantities anyway and you'll be covered. 5 days of high fertility is a bit much!! You could keep using the cheapies just to check if you LH surge. And maybe stop the B6. You can get it from food anyway.

I've not bought anymore CB sticks this month. I'm going back to cheapies and BD days 8-18 every other day.

Thanks This would have been so much easier if we were younger like 20 years lol everyday bd was a norm now more like every 2 weeks �� well once I get pregnant I can’t wait to stop this obsession. So I am going to bd tonight and tomorrow and have a day break. If it was up to my husband it would be more like once a week

I know....i think we dtd much more often than our friends who are the same age.....we are once a week when not ttc....our friends are once every 6 weeks! Ive only dtd twice durung this fertile period as ovulated earlier than i expected! At least you can have a break xmas day! Sunflower is right every other day is probably better for sperm quality anyway x

Just an update my opk is much darker now so I think I am going to ovulate in 24 hours so definitely bd tonight and the next 2 days if my DH will do it. I wish we didn’t do as much prior to this though

Its always the way....bloody typical. It happened to me last cycle....was shattered after my fertile window.....maybe dtd tom morning then xmas day night so you have a bit longer in between sessions! X

Brilliant. It's good to dtd before the surge too as you can ovulate close to the surge and it's best to have it in there before ovulation. If your OH isn't up to it then every other day is still good.

Hey sunflower the opk hasn’t gotten darker today arghhh so we bd 2 days in a row but my temps still low and it ovulated. This is really not normal for me. I have no idea what to do to be honest. So I am going to bd every other day like you suggested as i think I am going to have a long month. It’s so hard to bd anyway xmas tomorrow and my in laws are here and we have a 4 year old so trying to find time to do it it’s so stressful
