Hoping for some words of wisdom from you lovely ladies. I've posted this on the TTC board but may get more responses here.

I saw the gynae consultant this week as my pelvic ultrasound found a polyp in the womb lining. She was keen to remove it as there is evidence that it could interfere with implantation so it seems the sensible thing to do. I was expecting to be offered a hysteroscopy to remove it but she suggested doing a lap and dye so as well as removing the polyp, she could also have a good look around and flush out my tubes at the same time. Obviously it's a lot more invasive but I think it might be a good option as I believe the fertility clinic (we see them in June) will want my tubes flushed anyway. The lap and dye will also have longer recovery time but I've heard the other procedures can still be quite painful even with a local anaesthetic.

Would be great to hear experiences of any of these procedures.

Hello!! Iv no experience but I'm waiting on a lap aswell hope it gets me closer to a bfp!! The waiting is the worst part. Just wanted to say good luck

Hi ladies,

I had a lap and dye on 5th May... recovering nicely. Took a week off work to be back to normal, honestly go for it and don't worry at all. They found two adhesions casued by endometriosis and removed them and said my tubes and ovaries etc are 'beautiful' - well worth getting that peace of mind.

Good luck!

xx

I'm definitely keen to get the peace of mind. This is not a road we ever thought we would need to go down and now I just want answers. Glad to hear you're recovering well. I think I'd need a lot to talk me out of it but it's just nice to hear real experiences.
