Having lap and dye tomorrow, bit nervous, but hopefully give me answers. Although don't know what I want those answers to be, obviously don't want anything to be wrong but what if they find nothing? May be back to square one.

Then I think what if my tubes are blocked and there's nothing they can do, brain on overtime.

Gonna have a chilled afternoon and what will be will be :wall2:

So... Post-op and a tad sore, lots of gas with swollen tummy.

They found endo and scar tissue which they excised, everything else looked ok.

Has anyone had this surgey, did it make your pain easier? Did it help you get bfp?

And when could you stand up straight... I'm walking like an old lady!!!! Xx

Hiya, I had mine last month for endometriosis treatment and have had AF visit since...it was painless, I could not believe it. I didn't even now she was coming as there was no warning pain wise! We are not ttc until next month so no time for a BFP yet but there have been many women on here who have got there bfps just months after their lap so I am hopeful it will help :)

I found the gas pain unbearable, it hurt with every breath. I was walking like an old lady too, I think that lasted about 5 days but wasn't fully back to normal til after about 2 weeks I don't think. I was shocked that they said you only need 3 days off work after a lap, they should specify that if you have treatment for endo that it will be more painful and take longer to recover. It will all be worth it though xx

Hey hun, i had this back in march and took me 2wks to fully recover. I too found i had endo which was removed and then fell pg two months later. So fx for you hun.

Michelle. x

Hi I didn't have lap and dye but am 9 days past a laparoscopy to remove a large ovarian cyst.

The gas pain lasted about 48 hours I'm afraid, hot water bottle eased it a little, try to move as much as you can too as it starts in moving. A friend suggested lying flat with legs raised, worked for her but I didn't get much relief that way. May work for you...

I was upright again after about 6 days but I have 4 incisions and the cyst they removed was unusually big so I imagine there was a lot of prodding about in there! Hopefully it will be faster for you!

I was and still am very tired and even little exertions like showering and washing my hair leave me exhausted so be mindful and keeps snacks etc handy in case you feel a bit wobbly and need a sugar boost.

I'm having 3 weeks off work as I'm currently pregnant so they were more insistent that a rest up. Most people seem to be pretty good after 2 weeks but take your time and recover fully as you had the endo treatment too.

Feel better soon.xxx

Thanks guys, had another restful day starting to ease but still can't sit up easily!

Pin badge, must have been really scary having this done when pregnant?

Hayes, hoping Lisey and myself follow your lead and get our bfps soon! Will be trying after next AF, fingers crossed.

Glad it's starting to ease, you'll feel a little better each day but don't get too active too quick as it will wear you out...hubby wants to chain me to the sofa as I keep trying to wander about then end up in pain and wobbly!

It was very scary but the cyst had grown to the size of a melon without being detected so they wanted it out ASAP before it ruptured or twisted my tubes etc...which sounded even more scary and risky!

Fingers crossed you get your bfp really soon. :-) xxx

Hi hun, I had a laparoscopy end of September. They found nothing tho, all was fine - so I felt a bit gutted Id gone thru it for nothing but obv happy it with nothing major - it took me a good 2 weeks to recover, make sure you get plenty of rest and you're being well looked after :)

Lianne xx

First day dressed an out the house, only popped out for an hour an I'm knackered an sore. Pain killers an early night I think!!

Take it easy hun, I pushed myself too soon and think it put recovery back a bit. Lets hope we get our bfps soon :) x

Hi, just wanted to say I hope you recover soon. I'm having a lap soon so any info is good info :) My OH works away so ill have to make sure he's around to look after me. I'm a carer too, so I guess I'll have to make sure I've organised help with that. Heard such good stories about bfps afterwards so fingers crossed! x

sunnyland .. dido im a carer too .. I know I was reading all the BFP's on here before my lap n dye .. gets you all excited lol
FX for you to get a BFP verrrry soon xx

Thanks kellyann, I spotted for the week following lap then cramping and heavier bleeding so took that as cd1.

AF is due today and I've been cramping for a couple of days on and off but no sign as yet, I did ovualte a day late this month so I will probably come on tomorrow, praying for a Christmas bfp but I'm really not hopeful.

It took a good 2 weeks to get over lap, I had endo removed but still getting the same pains as before, hoping it will settle down.

I've also googled bfp after lap an dye and can't help wanting to get excited, feeling abit low about it all to be honest, feel like it will never happen :-(

your welcome pearl .. I have had the same .. just cramping an in my one leg but still nothing ...13th november I had lap and im on cd58 today and i was just hoping to have AF so i knew were I was... I totally know what you mean about feeling like its never going to happen but sunnyland cheered me up today by saying .. we are still young and on the right path on ttc .. it will happen bbe ...

plus I have noticed this site really does support each other .. only joined 2 nights ago and im always on here pmsl ..

Hey ladies to give you hope I got my bfp in the feb after my lap and dye (which was nov) I'd been trying for two years so sure it had helped x

aww thats great .. I have heard so many people after lap within 6 months getting BFP.. did they find anything in your lap an dye ..
thank you so much for that... makes me feel more positive xx

They found mild endo and some adhesions but endo was left as they didn't feel it was affecting fertility. Effectively I had nothing done so was none the wiser. I pretty much gave up hope as assumed it wouldn't happen. It's hard but don't give up hope x

aww thank you LD1978
I did do the give up thing for a year and I was convinced I couldnt have children .. but then my family member said to me if I dont find out whats wrong with me now then I will regret it when its to late .. I just find it hard with myself and I keep thinking im a failure .. but now I had lap an dye hopefully I will have my dream of becoming a mum ... hope you and emily had a great xmas xxx
