I'd be up for the Isle of Midna or Bluewater/Lakeside meets, i chickened out of the London one as cant bear the thought of the underground with a twin buggy!!

Does anyone know how I could get there from Croydon/Sutton areas? Is there a train station nearby?

I'm from that area too I've always driven to bluewater but I've heard there's a bus or coach that goes there from croydon, just had a google and couldn't find much, looks like there was a 729 route but can't find it now.

But from TFL route planner it looks complicated, the least changes is a bus then train then another bus but it may be do-able.

It's not toooo bad, by car it's about 3 hours (bit less with good traffic) and Matt's offered to drive (I HATE long-distance driving) and we can make a long day of it!

It's my 21st birthday in the middle of September so the day out can be my birthday treat

I'm sure there are a few chain hotels about 5 mins away from bluewater, like travelodge - if a date is decided soonish, you could try and get a dirt cheap room and make it into a 2 dayer to break it up
