Lactulose

Nathans been on Lactulose now for almost a week as he was getting really consipated and was only having a poo about every 5 days. Its working now but GP never said how long to leave him on it for. Is it ok to leave him on it for a couple of months does any one know or is it a short term thing? Don't know if I stop it things will go back like before or not.

I used to be on this when I was younger and had to take it for a while but to be honest if you don't know it's best as your doctor

Harley has 10mls a day for the past 3 weeks. if i dont give him it he ets realy realy hard poohs again.

but Lactulose aint owrking so good now and i had to get him some stronger stuff it was priscribed by the doctor and makes him go within 6hrs - explosive poohs

oh Annabelle had this when the gaviscon made her constipated, i only gave it to her when she hadnt pooed for 2 days to make sure she would at least poo on the 3rd day. I was told not to give it to her unless she needed it though.

have u heard of the i Love You tummy massage before? If not ask your health visitor to show you it - its great for helping Annabelle poo!

Well hes only on 5mls a day but I'd really prefer to keep him on it till he is weaning so at least I can give him some fruit to help. He won't even drink water at the minute so I'm a bit stuck.
