Kinda Worried

My girlfriend is 8 weeks pregnant. She had a wee bit of blood earlier after goin for a pee. shes paniking and has gone a bit paranoid. shes phoned NHS 24 and theve told her to monitor it and they will phone her tomorrow.
She has since gone for a pee and there was nothing. Thankfully.
What should I do to relax her and to put her at ease. Shes very pessimistic just now. What is the bleeding?

Hi it could be implantation bleeding, it's common in early pregnancy. Tell her to put her feet up, stick her favourite DVD on and make her a hot choc/generally spoil her rotten

I agree, if it has stopped then its probably just a bit of spotting which is very common, especially around the time your period would normally be due (4 weeks, 8 weeks etc).

Get her to rest and make her lots of nice things xx

Its back but occasional. have been trying to mind her. Made the dinner and loads of De-caf tea. shes a bit more relaxed. hopfully everything will be ok. Thanks for the advice.

Unless she has painful cramps and the blood is bright red and has clots in, then it is more than likely spotting like the others said, that is very normal. If she is 8 weeks then it is probably because her period would be due - i had some spotting around 8 weeks that lasted about 4 days.

If the blood is brown it means it's old blood - most likely left over from implementation.

Not looking good I'm afraid. She has cramps and bloodshed red and heavier. No clots do, I don't think. She's a scan tomorrow at 3.30. I suppose we can only wait and see. But thanks again for the advice.
