Hey ladies,

My Lo has been so active since about week 20, normally I can see her moving about now and also kicking me from the inside, she has been doing it during the day on and off all day and night times between 10pm and midnight.

I'm worried today as I have felt nothing since 4pm yesterday, no turning, slight movement, no kicks, wriggles nadda! I know it does not really count until about week 28 but it's very odd of her to just stop out of the blue.....

I have tried:

Cold can of drink on belly
Drinking a pint of icy water
Doppler - Baby sonic - can only get my HB and rustling noise no bubba HB (she has hidden from it before though!)
Having a luke warm bath (she normally goes mad for this)
Eating a Toffee Crisp for the sugar
Gentle prodding and shoving....

I do have a low lying anterior placenta but have been able to feel her very strong movements until now....

I don't have a midwife as she left our surgery and someone is only there on Fridays from 9am to 12.00pm, do you think I should wait a while longer or call my GP??

I'm probably being a panic pants but starting to get worried.......

Hun LO is prob having a quiet period however I think it's really important you don't wait any longer and contact a midwife or L&D ward at your hospital to go in and get checked over. You have tried everything they would normally get you to try.

Try not to worry too much but it's always best to get these things checked

hey no you're not being a panic pants!

my LO did the same a wee while bac, week twenty something, and cos id gotten used to the movements, not being able to feel them really freaked me out.

I'd say call whoever you have a number for, whether its the local hosp, or your GP. They took me in that afternoon and i was hooked up to a trace machine, which monitored LOs movements, even though I couldnt feel them!! 8) ur wee 1 is probably just having a lazy day like mine was.

So dont worry about panicking! I panic LOADS, and you are entitled to, you have a wee person growing inside ya!

good luck and let us know how u get on xxxxx

I agree with the others, go and see someone asap!I would call the hospital! It is always better to be safe than sorry! Im sure shes fine though! :D

Thanks girlies,

Will have one more bash at the doppler, try some of my terrible singing (that works sometimes too) and if nothing then I will give my local epu a call......

:)

Remember to let us know everything is ok! I will be worrying now all day!
