Thanks I've printed the first part to put in my hospital bag (which so far is just a bag and a list) for reference. It's a very comprehensive and sensible list, I've only added and crossed out a few things to adapt it for myself.

Word to wise ( though I'm sure you all figured it out anyway). Pretty sure you won't need everything on the list. It's great for going through and choosing what you need and giving you ideas of things you might not have thought of.

Aww, don't worry, you don't remotely need everything on it. Some of the stuff you don't need for months, and a lot of it is either or options - like not everyone needs a breast pump for example

One day at 38 odd weeks I got the usual worry about baby movements and went into triage for a trace and ended up having my baby delivered by c-section 3 hours later. I had nothing with me. The hospital provided me with a gown and gave the baby a hat, clothes and blankets. Had I not needed to stay in for a while, I wouldn't have needed anything!

Not that I'm recommending not packing a bag. I did and when it was delivered to me I was most grateful. Mainly as it contained Haribo!
