Keeping a toddler entertained?

This coming week I have a 5 hour train journey with Nim I'm trying to arrange the times so there is a strategic nap involved, but any ideas on how to keep her entertained? Got snacks, a new toy and colouring book and crayons so far.

A new book with things to learn eg: that's a car, that's a doggy etc...also Harrison loves my MP3 player and likes to hold the earphone and wiggle to the music so if u have one, that can work wonders! Have fun on ur trip xx

i was gona suggest a book like that! and maybe some toys, you know like little people figurine type things?? katie would sit for hours playing with them!!

I think I'd be keeping her up all night so she'd sleep half the time

i was gonna say portable dvd player!!! my two have one each for the car with cbeebies dvds, barney etc etc.. keeps them entertained when we go on 6/7hr car journeys.
