Saw a post on freecycle offering a 4 poster hand built "Princess" bed with pink curtains around it and pink head and foot board. My daughter has always wanted a 4 poster bed but we couldnt afford one and we didnt have the room but with the new place she has a bigger bedroom. They were offering it as FOP (Fair offer policy) which meant that you had to email your reasons for wanting it and the person offering chooses the person he would like it to go to.
Anyway, here is a copy of my email:
Hi,
I hope you will consider my daughter Jade for the bed. She is 6 years
old and a proper princess. She is due to have a new baby sister in
October and i have had a very tough pregnancy which has left me almost
unable to walk at times due to my pelvic bones splitting apart. Jade
has been a huge help to me over the summer holidays, doing jobs around
that house that i cant manage and helping me to pack our house up ready
to move in the coming weeks.
I would love to be able to give her the bed as a way of saying thank
you to her for all her help. I have not been able to take her out and
about over the summer as i usually do but she has not once complained.
She has always wanted a 4 poster bed but her old bedroom was too small
but her new room is ideal size.

And guess wot, it's on its way!!!!!! The man is delivering it to us and she is going to be a proper princess in her new bedroom. Think he was a bit worried when i started crying on the phone lol but i am soooooo pleased!!!
