Not really sure why I'm posting this as it's completely pointless really...

Totally out of the blue, my dad gave me a cheque for £1000 on Friday!! He gave it to me 'from my nan' who passed away a few months ago and they discovered she had quite a few thousand pounds savings!!

So, today I treated myself to a new nappy bag, a new cot mobile (I'd lost the motor for Lennons) and I also got Lennon a present 'from the baby' and a 'I'm the Big Brother' t-shirt for when babys born. I just never have any spare cash to just splash out like this whenever I want so it was so lovely to just be able to do it and not worry about the money.

Now I'm trying to decide what to do with the rest!! LOL. I was toying with the idea of buying myself a new pram, putting the rest towards a family holiday next year or whisking myself away to Ragdale Hall next year sometime. I think I'm decided on putting towards a nice family holiday next year as we can never afford holidays :)

wow sounds lovely! must have been a lovely surprise! A family holiday sounds really nice too, just make sure the money gets put separately till then as its so easy for it to just disappear on everyday stuff.

That is so lovely! Enjoy every penny, and look forward to a gorgeous family holiday. Aww that's so lovely!! xx

:yay:

That sounds excellent.

I think you should defo treat yourself in some way.

I agree with others, a family holiday would be great to look forward to for after baby's born, you can still book when you dont know names/DOB ect.

:)

Wow thats such good news!! Family hol sounds great also treat yourssl as you deserbe that too,spa or shopping spree in a couple months etc. I wish I had a cheque like that coming! :Dxx

Yeah, I was just thinking this morning how lovely it would be to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes after baby is born...but, I still think I will go for the family holiday.

I'd like to take us all away again to Sable D'Olonne in France to stay in a static 'mobile' home as we had an amazing holiday there two years ago with Lennon, it was the nicest holiday I've ever had, so relaxing and Lennon could have so much freedom as it was so safe :) I can't see the prices until October but as soon as I can, I will book and pay as much towards it as possible!

yeah a family holiday would be great its something to look forward to x
