Hiya all,

Don't know if i've said before about my abdominal problems, basically for a few years i have had on and off abdominal pains along with many other syptoms. After many trips to A & E and the doctors they said it was something to do with my kidneys, then i had a ultrasound which confirmed there is a shadow on my kidney and abnormality on the tube between my kidney and bladder.

So, my appiontment today went OKish, i've got to have a CT scan to find out what the shadow is on my kidney and then an endoscopy to find out whats going on with the tube.

They said that i can't have the CT scan if i fall pregnant but as its highly unlikely yet due to depo in my system, they have reffered me for an urgent scan so things can get sorted and we can TTC properly!!

xXx

good luck, i hope they find out whats going on

Bless you
Fingers crossed they get it sorted ASAP, then let the BDing begin!

Hope all is well so you can start ttc properly soon....but at least you can have fun practicing in the meantime!

good luck hope you get it sorted out soon

Good luck with the scan, i hope everything goes well.

Any chance you have endometriosis or if anyone has suggested this? I have endometriosis and for 5 years I suffered constant abdominal pain in varying degrees throughout each month. After being made to feel like a hypochondriac, being passed from Dr to Dr for yrs I was finally offered a laparoscopy and internal scan. I woke up after the general anesthetic to my gynaeocologist holding my hand, she told me I had bad endometriosis scarring around my bladder, womb and pelvic muscles. I actually cried with the relief of finally finding out I wasn't imagining the pain! It is common also to get scarring around the kidney/bladder and urethra and it does show up as a shadow. Unfortunately there is no cure for it but I had surgery to remove some of the scar tissue which did help. It can also give you fertility problems and I was warned that it may be harder for me to get PG, hence why I started a yr after I was married. It did take 7months to conceive but it did happen so it's not all doom and gloom.

I hope that your results are good ones, keep us update x

Its possible, they haven't given me any ideas as to what it is yet, taken years to get them to do these scans!

I really hope it don't affect us TTC, we really want a baby this year!! xx
