Couldn't resist getting one and have just picked it up from the post office. I've been playing with it for about 20 minutes but can't find the baby's heartbeat. I can find mine easily enough. Any tips girls?
Hey hun...I did manage to find my bubs heartbeat at 11 weeks but it takes a bit of practice...best tim eis with a full bladder as your uterus is still quite deeply hidden in your pelvis...if you have a full bladder it will bring it out a bit more...and its a lot lower than you think i would be!!
Also what are you using with?? Ultrasound gel stuff?? I find that normal KY works a treat but make sure you use plent y
Ok drinking a big glass of water now. I'm using the gel that came with it but that is a good tip as the gel tube isn't very big I don't think it will last long.
I found mine at 10w 2d with the angel sounds. I can only find it by my right hip - don't get too obsessed tho cos I tried to find it today and it took a good 3-4mins to find. Usually I get it straight away. There is also the chance that bubs has it's back to u so will b more difficult to find. Try not to stress, just be patient and make sure u have the sound up high!! xx
I found it!!
At least I'm pretty sure that was it, it sounded like a train. That has got to be the best sound I have ever heard and worth every penny of the doppler just to hear it once. So excited about the scan on Friday now that I am a lot more confident that there is a live baby in there.
yey i have been lurking in your thread to see if you found it lol, i am going to get one when I have had the scan I think......maybe sooner how did you find it? was it quite low down?
It was about 2cm above my pubic hair line and slightly to the left of my belly button with the probe angled slightly down. My OH has heard it aswell now, so not just my imagination.
Lol only thing that puts me off getting one is how para i would be if i couldnt hear anything hahaha, i bet you are going to be using it every day now!
