Hi my hubby and I have been trying to conceive for 5 months and last night after 5 pregnancy tests (just to make sure!) we are pregnant!

I didn't think I was because I have been having period like cramps for the last few days (and still am) but yesterday I realised I was a few days late so tested anyway :)

Is it normal to have period type cramps? What should I avoid eating now?
I am going to book an appointment with the Dr. tomorrow, I wondered what tests/scans I should be expecting?

thanks K x

Congratulations! Avoid blue vein cheeses, mould ripened like Brie. You need to avoid pate and liver, and limit your intake of tuna. They'll tell you everything at the doctors anyway!

Congrats again! :)

Hi and congratulations!! :cheer:

It is very normal to get crampy pains at the beginning, i had them and it just felt like AF was about to come on.

You will get a booking in appointment with your midwife-this varies when, dependingon where you live, and you will get a scan at around 12 weeks.

good luck!

Thankyou for your congrats...we're so excited! I just broke the news to my parents that they are going to be grandparents for the first time and to my grandparents that they will be greatgrandparents. It was quite amazing to see their reactions. Everyone is thrilled :) :D
