Hi Girls and Bumps,

My DH went out for a few pints tonight (again! - we are both teachers on summer hols), my little girl is tucked up in bed. So, what do I decide to do? ..................................try on some of my pre-pregnancy clothes  WHY??? Just out of interest. I could get them over my knees and that was about it!

I also bought a pair of georgeous black trousers from Oasis as an incentive to lose weight after (they are a size 12 and I am ususally a 10 or 12). I tried those on and they were skin tight on the legs and I couldn't do the button up. I phoned my friend and she really told me off "you are bloody pregnant - what do you expect? Why do you think they make maternity clothes? etc etc etc". I know she is right.

If you are ever feeling bored or you are simply curious about weight you have gained during pregnancy - DO NOT TRY YOUR PRE-PREGNANCY CLOTHES ON!! You will be depressed for the rest of the night..........UNTIL YOU FEEL YOUR MIRACLE KICK!! He/She is the reason, and that's fine by me!!    :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Love and Weight Gain,

 How to torument yourself!!
Dont do it again!!! They are deffo worth it though but I cant wait to get some of my outfits back on after having this LO

Awww nooooo!! Don't be doing that again!
I've got a gorgeous clubbing corset that I used to wear out, and I keep wanting to try it. I don't even dare get it out of the drawer for fear of getting upset that I can't wear it! Never mind, when Isla's born and I'm back in shape, I can wear it again! And I don't mind putting on the extra weight for the sake of my beautiful daughter! :D

You crazy moo!!

Also your body becomes very bloated do that again and smacked bot bot for you!!

Well I'm 3 weeks post pregnancy and I tried my pre-pregnancy jeans on yesterday......that was a bad idea too! I am now in an in between time when the maternity clothes are not at all flattering but I can't fit my normal clothes. I really don't want to buy a larger size as I need the incentive to get the extra weight off.

Thanks for your replies!! Do you think alot of the extra weight is water? or FAT?? I suppose a mixture of both...

Don;t you worry about those clothes not fitting! It's not just your belly that changes when you're pregnant it's all of you! (for those of us who are human anyway!)

I gained lots of inches around my hips and bum during pregnancy but it was my pelvis spreading ready for birth, not fat that caused it! I didn't gain much weight and yet even the size 12 preggie jeans that were a relaxed fit started to feel tight by week 39!

Don't worry about it- you'll drop down to your pre preg weight eventually but even then you won't look *quite* the same - sorry- hope this doesn't depress you too much. I'm the same weight, same measurements (not incl boobs cos if breastfeeding) as I was a year ago I'm just a bit less toned! :?
