how much formula should we be on at 2 weeks, im cyrrently givinvg Keira 3oz every 4 hours but im not sure of this is enough as shes lookin round for more it seems x

Every baby is different hun, and I can't remember what my LO was on at that age but if you think she's still hungry try upping the bottles to 4ozs. She'll only take what she needs so if she doesn't want it she won't have it. x

I always just give lo what they need, if they empty the bottle on a regular basis I increase the amount I offer.

If she drains constantly then make 4oz. She will stop eating when she has had enough.

The guidelines on the tubs are just that, guidelines. My LO should be on 7oz 5 times a day but only has between 4 and 6 and is doing fine.

On tapatalk so can't see tickers :-(
Excuse the typos, phone has mind of its own.

yeah they guidelines say 2-4 weeks 9lbs give 4ozs every 4 hours but shes only 7lb5oz so it confused me a bit...
Thanks xx

Albert has way too much for his size and age but as they don't do a hungry baby formula in soya I have to go with it. He's never over fed and I couldn't care less if I have to throw half drunk bottles away as long as he gets what he needs.

You might find that she drops ounces occasionally too but will soon let you know when she's hungry xxxxxx

Jessica is roughly the same age and taking about 4oz every 4 hrs, she is 7lbs 13oz x

Max was having 5oz every 2 hours at that age! He was prob about 9-10lbs at 2 weeks,I just gave him what he wanted after being told so much conflicting advice. He's a big boy but not overweight, he has 5-7oz every 3 hours now so I think that works out that he has less sometimes than he used to!xxx

Abi is on 3oz 6 times a day. At her feed around 6pm we have increased it to 4oz as she seems to want more then. Just going to increase her feeds as and when she needs - thought it best to increase feeds thats she wants more rather than them all x

at 2 weeks alfie was on 4oz every 3 hours which gradually got closer together, so upped to 5oz and they were every 2 hours, we went onto hungry baby at 3week 4 days and still guzzlling 5oz every couple hrs!! he was starving constanlty and pooping like a trooper, and not settling at all but now at 5weeks and 5 days we are thriving on a cmpletely different brand of milk 6oz every 4 hrs which gradually go to 3 hrs by tea time

my point is the guidelines reckon alfie should'nt be on 6oz yet until he is 2/3 months i think and then only 5 bottle a day!! but were on 6 sometimes 7 6oz bottles a day so do what ur baby wants not what some piece of writing on the tin says which was probably wrote by someone who has never had kids :) xxx

yeah, id say offer her 4oz and see how she takes it. Alyssa has 4 5oz bottles a day but usually only takes 4 oz of it as she has mummy milk too and can have that as often as she wants lol. usually have 1 proper bf feed and then offer it to her an hour before the bottles

My Lo still only takes 3/4 oz every 3 to 4 hours and shes 8 weeks, she was less than 6lb born though, every bby is different and like the others said she will take what she needs so don't worry too much Xx
