Its been this way for a few days now and i cant work out whats going on.

He seems perfectly happy in himself (not ill) but just wont settle which is unusual cos he is usually a good sleeper.

Yesterday daytime he hardly slept so I thought I may get a half decent nights sleep last night.
It took me 4 attempts to get him in his crib - everytime I would put him down he would start crying, finally at 10.30 he went down only to wake up again at 1am wanting a feed which is really unusual cos recently after his 10pm feed he sleeps through til 5ish. I could hear him sucking at his fists from about 12ish and he finally starting crying at 1am and drained his bottle, then woke up again at 4am for another one and 6am for another!
He also doesnt seem satisfied after about half of his bottles and cries when he has finished them as though he is still hungry.

Is it usual for them to have a growth spurt at about 10 weeks? (11 on Friday) Im not sure whether its because he is such a big boy and maybe needs more than just milk. I do give him a bit of rice at his 7pm feed but even this doesnt seem to be doing much now!

Im gonna go see the HV on Thursday but tbh she is about as useful as a chocolate teapot so I was wondering what you girls thought?

Im happy to stick it out if its just a growth spurt but if he is needing more I dont want to deprive my baby of what he needs and have him be unhappy and starving all the time...

Does sound like a growth spurt, they do have one around 10wks

 It will pass

Lily went through one at about 11 weeks she was screaming after 2hours for more milk. It lasted two days and she settled down again. Hope that all it is for you. One of my HV soiunds like yours she just says "well what ever you think best, its not my place to make your decisions" and "bless" :wall:

Sounds like a growth spurt to me hun, as you know ellie had a huuuuge not long ago & its tough but doesnt last. Stick it out and see if i were u :)
