...after all my threads when I started BF I think I should share this...
My confession is I LOVE night feeds! SR started sleeping through most nights at 10 weeks. We've just spent the last week introducing an earlier bedtime routine which he is adjusting to a bit better every night. However, this means he now wakes at 3-4am for a feed again.
I thought about encouraging him to feed when we go to bed, but I love being able to snuggle up with PP before he's gone to sleep and go to sleep cuddling like we used to. And at 3am I am really happy to see my little man and almost excited to do his night feed.
I love that feeling that we're the only two people awake in the world, listening to the quiet where normally there's constant noise, and just watching his perfect little face as he has his most gentle feed of the day, lit by a calming side light, the shadows showing him differently to in day. I just LOVE it. I was so pleased he was going through the night I didn't realise how much I missed our special time in the early hours.
For anyone out there struggling, keep going. I thought we couldn't do it and it took 9 weeks before we were feeding well and we still have some painful feeds, but it's all completely worth it
