and called my the community office about the lack of contact from my mw. Ive got an appointment for next friday. the lady booking the appointment seemed shocked i hadn't heard anything. I will quiz my MW when i see her - if it seems to be going down the same route as last time im going to ask for a different MW. I don't want to spend ages wondering if i should be due an appointment etc...

Ive no idea. I had problems with my named MW last time (she forgot to get someone to come visit me after i had alice). Im wondering if its cause its my 2nd child or because im under consultant care that they treat it differently.

I was seen at 12 weeks with alice, but i understand procedures change.

From what you said before that midwife sounds like a right skatty incompetant cowbag!!
If i were you i would ask to change and make sure they know why..even complain!
how could she tell you she was coming to see you when she knew she would be on holiday?? and forget
to get her replacement to come and see you?? what a skatbag!!

hun as im under a specialist consultant who i see once a month they didnt really bother with me i didnt see mine from 8 weeks till 20 weeks i had to phone and book an appointment and then told the midwife i wanted to see her in between my consultant appointments which as soon as i asked she said there was no problem at all so i think its quite common if your consultant led care  glad you have an appointment sorted now xxxxxxx
