Brrrrrrrr!!!! It is dinging it down with snow here - it's a bit too wet for it to lie thankfully.

My poor Brian is going to freeze when he gets back today, he has been in Trinidad where it averages at 40, here it's like minus 2!!

I have the heating up full and a jumper on the heated towel rail so that it is cosy for him :D

It's been snowing a bit here in Banchory too, though it keeps alternating with rain.
Typical! First day of the school holidays and I'm trapped in doors with a 5 year old. HELP!!!!! He's doing my head in already!
I had hoped we could go to the park today, by the end of the 2 weeks all my nesting will be undone! :rotfl:

There's not a cloud in the sky here, but the wind is crazy, our chickens keep getting blown over, and the waves are crashing right over the lighthouse. I was going to go for a walk today but somehow I don't think so  I like the wind...when i'm inside

our chickens keep getting blown over

:rotfl: :rotfl: Have pictures in my head now of chickens blowing around the yard in the wind.....sorry! [/quote]

Don't worry, that's pretty much the way it is. It's hilarious. I might actually go try to get a picture of it...

The area sounds lovely where you live zebrastripes :D

As for the snow Sarah...please, please please keep it up there with you, it's bright down here. Last time I said it was ok weatherwise though it changed dramatically and looked like doomsday!

It's bright sunshine here one minute and raining the next

Heavy snow will hit North Wales on sunday and monday so it might makt its way to the NE too.

I want snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a funny picture, we used to have chicken and geese on the farm!

Even funnier things I have seen while living at home on the farm, a sheep blowing over (I know it wasnt funny at the time but so funny looking back) and a cow floating down the river. Our farm is right next to the River Don in Aberdeen and it had flooded over

I should add that both the sheep and cow were both well. We saved them both :D

In my imagination the animals are wallace and gromit type plasticine characters. No real animals are hurt!

I never knew chickens or sheep could be blown over!

There's an old red phonebox at the end of the road-once the woman who lives down there (our nearest neighbour, technically) rescued an orphaned lamb and put it in the phonebox until the farmer could get there. So you'd be walking down to the beach when all of a sudden you'd see this lamb staring at you out of the phonebox. It was so surreal

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Aww, I loved living in the farming community!!

I remember when I was little during the lambing season, we had some orphaned lambs that we used to take in the kitchen, anyway it was a cold cold springtime and one of the little lambs was so ill my Mum put the lamb in the bottom of tha Aga (the coolest part) to heat it up and make it feel better.... you should have seen my friends face as my Mum put a LIVE lamb into the oven!!

Thankfully the lamb got well and had a happy and healthy life :D

Although from that day on,it did smell a little like rosemary and sunflower oil :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: yumyum

We've got a snow blizzard now. Wish it would snow properly so we could build a snowman. We bought James a sledge earlier this year and not had a chance to use it yet. If I didn't have a bump I'd be sledging myself. (OH bought it for us really, kids are a great excuse! :shhh: )

It's snowing here too and I am sick SICK of the weather being shit. How am I supposed to get enthusiastic about house hunting when I don't even wanna go outside???

BAH!!! :x

Yup, saw a bit of snow whilst out this afternoon. Going to a wedding tomorrow - I think it will be lovely to get married when it is snowing!

not snowing here but very chilly- just been out on a cherry coke mission, it is NOT a good nite for scampering around outside!

its snowing properly here today!! We'll be able to build a snowman later!
