using an opk with watery/creamy cm? Should I wait until it looks a bit more fertile? xx

Ok, so just done an opk, there is a very very feint line. I mean FEINT!! And cm has turned creamy/ewcm - what do i do?? Do I test again later? Have I ovulated? Do I ov after LH surge?? HELP!!! I did opk at 6.50pm, how long before I do another opk? xxx

I'd take that as a negative.
Keep testing Hun! I'd test again in the morning - afternoon and evening just to make sure your covering it!
X

Really? I thought neg would be no line? (I'm not saying you're wrong btw as I know zero about opks!) xx

Forget the cm, go off the OPK :)

I never got a really dark line with my OPKs but my CBFM still picked out high fertility and peak fertility days just fine...

The only thing you can really compare your line off is you own lines unfortunately - that's not very helpful right now i suppose :eh:

Maybe have a look through the OPK gallery? I'll link you my OPKs.

Thanks Louise, you seemed to get a strong line around cd16, and I'm cd17 today. You got a feint line then a strong line the next day - maybe I will get a strong line tomorrow like you did??? xx

I've just done OPKs for the first time this month so I don't really have a clue but the first few I did had no line then as CM went creamy got very very faint line (less than yours) the next day had EW CM and was sure I'd get a positive OPK but it was still a very faint line then the day after that got a definate positive OPK, my temperature went up 2 days after that to show i'd ov'd.

So when you get the strong line does that mean you have ov'd or about to?? I need to time this right and my bbt's are screwed this cycle thanks to the flu :( xxx

Based just on my OPKs you are either:
on the day before your surge
on the day of your surge (it is a decent line imo)
on the day after your surge (which means you have v little time left to BD for this cycle)

It would be so helpful to know what your lines are like when you know you are definately not ovulating :oooo:

I think you ovulate 12-36 hours after getting a positive OPK (according to the packet I have)

I'm trying to persuade OH to bd tonight and see what my lines look like tomorrow. I don't want to bd too near to ov so hopefully the line will go dark tomorrow and disappear the next day fx xx

Hi Cosmic - I think when you get a positive OPK you have maybe 24-36 hours before you OV. I think you'll probably get a darker line tomorrow on your OPK. Get as much BD in as you can - I know you're ill but it will be worth it for sticky bean!!

FX and lots of :dust:

Thanks hun, dont know whether to hold off bd until tomorrow though, dont know if I could persuade OH to bd twice. I worry that there may be no line tomorrow though - the dilemma arrggggghhhh :wall: xxx

I think i'd wait until tomorrow personally.

If you BD now and you are about to or just have ovulated, then that's likely to be a boy i think? They are supposed to be faster?

So if tomorrow you find you just missed OV completely... better to rest and get over your flu and hold out for a girl next cycle?

If you wait until tomorrow and your line gets darker then you can make a more educated decision about whether you want to still try or not :)
