Is there a limit on how long a cycle can go?

My last period was oct 23rd.. im still waiting for mine.
about day 71 today.. longest cycle yet.. I have been having cycles lasting 37 days but 71 is a new record for me, is there a limit of some sort where i can say, right i must be coming up for my second period now and i must have missed last months..?
Weird thing to ask but my cycles are becoming rediculous and theres no way i could get opks to test when i ovulate when they are gonna last this long lol..

lrb that sounds like a nightmare - poor u! i have no idea hunny but if i were you i would be going to see the doctor! have u had tests before? i think vickyxx went a few months with no af so might be worth looking up some of her posts?/ xx

Yeah i had gone to see the doctor and had tests done, but they seem to have got alot longer now. My doctors surgery have now kicked me out as i have moved.. even tho i have been there all my life, and not always lived in there catchment.. so im looking for a doctors near by. but cant seem to find one in my area. When i do im gonna ask for more test, even tho my previous doc said there was no more tests that they can do.. hmm..i think they just fobbed me off!

Hey hun I went 4 months from my last period it finally showed up new years eve. I would def register with another surgery and ask for more tests. Did your last surgery test your thyroid levels as mine came back low in my blood which could explain the long delays between cycles. I would ask a new doctor for more blood tests hun x x

Hey hon just a thought but have you thought to get checked out for polycystic overies? My friend had really irregular and long cycles and it turned out that was what she had...although on the bright side she now has a gorgeous baby boy x x

Yeah i had my thyroid tests done and evrything came back fine. Only thing they didnt test was if i could ovulate, i dont even know if they can:S? x

Hiya! Yeah ive been tested with this too.. well i had an ultrasound.. was all fine.. did say my uterus was quite big, but apparently its nothing to worry about. x

You can have tests to see if you ovulate but they have to be done on a certain date in your cycle x

As the girls have said,I would get registered asap and just ask them if they can do some tests even if you've had them already. They might be abe to give you something to regulate them

It is rreally annoying!! But if i dont know where i am in my cycle how do they know when to test?

Yeah my last doctor said i could go on the pill to regulate them.. but completely defeats the object!!
And yeh will deffo go find a doctors asap! They do your bloods ect when u join a docs anyway..i think?xx

Oh yer would kind of defeat the object just abit,lol is there nothing else they can give you or any herbal supps you could take?

I bet it does stress you out hun and I dont really no alot about the testing,havent got to that point yet so cant help you there hun but vicky seems to know alot.

Not sure if they test you when you join but thats what your going there for so they cant refuse.
