Is starting to doubt the scan

Dies anyone know how often ultrasounds are wrong on sex of baby? We've found out but my cousin went to a psychic and told him that whoevers pregnant te sex they think it is it isn't..... Also I've been bombarded with about 6 stories of people who got told one thing and the baby was the other!!!
I'm debating a cheap private scan if I can find one or just stick to unisex clothes!!!!

I read somewhere that scan sexing is roughly 80% correct.

My cousin was told they were expecting a girl... bought everything pink and it turned out to be a boy! i think i was told.. if they said its a girl there's more chance of it being wrong than if they said it's a boy. x

Apperently some are about 95% correct, 12 years ago tho my little brother was ment to be my little sister, im sure ultasounds are alot bettrr now tho and i doubt they would tell you if they wasnt sure about it xx

They are ususally correct for boys, granted no scan is 100% correct. But there was no mistaking on either of my scans. Also, with respect I'd be more inclinded to believe the experts over a psychic.

A year ago my mw told me the hospital I use got half a dozen wrong, guess there is always a chance.

I know a girl who was told she was having a little girl. Bought all girls stuff for her to give birth to a boy! Its the 1 thing that puts me off wanting to find out xxxx

It wasn't the psychic that made me doubt but the amount of stories I've heard the past few days about the sexing being wrong!!! Maybe it's just coincidence these things happened at the same time!!! All from different people I know too and all that would have gone to the same hospital I did for my scan!

They told me I'm having a girl but that they couldn't guarantee it. They said that sometimes little boys can hide their bits so they look like girls! I'm having a 4d scan in a few weeks so hopefully will get it confirmed!

ive had this doubt aswell and had a dream that i gave birth to a boy, am hpping its not an omen as otherise the poor child will be in poink for the first few days x

It's the main reason i didnt actually want to find out, but gave in on the day! The fella who did my scan asked and said because he can def see as she was in perfect position. So we said yes, he said she def looks like a girl but jokingly said, its not 100% they can get it wrong with a little laugh. He also pointed out her little bits. didnt look like a boys bits!

There was no doubting our little man's bits he had them proudly on display!! just like his papa when he wanders round the house lol.....

I imagine it is easier to tell when it's a boy

With my last child they said boy, I had 3 scans all said boy, one was even 3d.. When he was born my husband looked at me and said "oh my God, its a girl".... So there you go, they do get it wrong sometimes

My friend was told she was having a boy, bought all blue stuff and then had a baby girl, same as some of you that's the reason we didn't find out sex at 20 week scan. That, and it will be a nice surprise after all that hard work! Xx

i was told a girl at a 16 week private gender scan but scared for my scan next week what if they say boy got loads of pink stuff lol
