i'm in my 30th week and the bump is huge! but i still drive around every day going about my routines, its driving my mum nuts and she keeps complaining that i will hurt the baby, that i park the car and use public transport. i do sit far away enough from the wheel and place the seatbelt way below my bump, i dont think there's any harm in it as i feel no discomfort still i wouldnt want to hurt baby. should i just listen to her and stop?

If you feel comfortable driving then carry on. If you feel your driving is affected by being pregnant then maybe rethink it.i will continue to drive up until due date unless bump stops me. :) xx

I intend to keep driving until Baby arrives - don't see why not. Bump is nowhere near the steering wheel, belt sits under it, has had no impact on my driving as far as I can tell.:)

Same as the others the only thong that hinders me is my SPD

I'm still driving and intend to up till baby arrives.

I'll drive as long as I am comfortable to. No problems do far.

I drove until both of mine were born (and they were both very late). I felt much safer driving than I would have walking to and from bus stops and waiting for buses in case something did start happening x

I drove past my due date. I was 6 days late and still drove, if I didn't I wouldn't have been able to go to my antenatal appointments. X

I'll be carrying on driving! Even tried to consider driving myself to the hospital when I need to but I don't think that will actually be happening some how lol. Id say using public transport would actually out more strain on you and make you more tired as if its anything like round us, buses are never! on time and usually crowded at peak times. I think you'd be more likely to get hurt in fact by inconsiderate people. At least in the car you are in your own little bubble.

I'm not sure I'd go as far ad driving myself to hospital  I'd hate to think what people in other cars would think if I got stuck in traffic having contractions.. especially as they can't see your bump

I think it was more stubborn thoughts of how I can do it all on my own whereas in reality I can't lol!
