Is it possible???

Is it possible for my partner to feel the baby kick at 18 weeks, i put my hand on my bump and i am sure i felt a kick

yes i'm sure it is... i started feeling little butterflies around 16-17 weeks but didn't know what they where... i'd say by 18 i could feel lite kicks... DH said he felt something around 19-20 weeks so there is a chance your partner could feel the baby around 18 weeks...

Everybody is different, he should try it and see if he can feel any kicks. The books all say they won't feel it until way beyond 20 weeks, even my midwife said that but my DH felt the kicks at 20 weeks too.

YEP! I was 18 weeks when OH felt my first kick, his face was amazing!

Now I have to drag him off the sofa to feel his kicks!! haha ... he loves it when he is kicking but the little bugger likes to make his dad wait about for him..... if I put my hand there he kicks about all the time!! haha

why do they do that? my bump is the same... if my mum or DH put their hand on my belly - all goes quite! as soon as they move the bugger kicks... the other day DH was watching my bump for ages to see it move... nothing!!!! as soon as he looked away...

Do they know?

I videoed mine the other day hayley.... laid on the sofa videoing for about 20 mins on my phone, finally caught him then edited the clip to 30 secs!!

Now everyone dont think i am lying!! haha

I think it might be us that stop the baby moving, do you find if you are waiting for them to move your a bit tense, maybe they can sense that??!! xxx

apparently the baby tends not to kick when someone put there hand there because of the lack of space it has and it just makes it more cramped for the baby, sometimes they do though

My OH felt my baby kick and loves it........... it took a while for us to catch the baby out cause as soon as a hand was on my belly it stopped kicking!! but now OH loves it and it makes me so happy that i can share it with him (been feeling a bit left out since i first felt it kick)
