That put the little dogs etc behind glass partitions in the actual shop?

seriously when i was younger i used to LOVE the idea of just going to a pet shop and picking up a dog, i looked at some pictures one of my online friends posted and there was all these dogs in cages etc that seemed far too small for their size and i burst into tears.

Stupid hormones.

I wonder if they ever get let out? for like walks and stuff.. probably not. I mean there were puppies and fully grown dogs :( it's just really sad, and then they had like "50% off" on the glass bit of this fully grown bulldog and it's wee face looked so sad :( i actually just wanted to save it.

Anyway.. now i'm off to cry some more about stupid things that i can't change, even if i wanted to.

EXAMPLE - yesterday OH couldn't get me on the phone, so he stood in tesco for 20 mins beside the stuffing because he couldn't find the kind i wanted, and because it was my fault he couldn't get me i burst into tears. mhm. anyway. xx

I have been in loads of pet shops in the states and I have never seen any dogs behind glass or in cages. Not saying it doesnt happen, just never seen it.

The only odd thing I have seen in the ones over there is dogs with mortar boards on as they have just graduated from training classes

I was in Canada in the summer and they were all in glass cage type things. Just like you would see hamsters in a pet shop here but obviously bigger cages. It was a tiny store with about 30-40 puppies in it.
They were all really cute, "expensive" breeds i.e pugs etc. I just wanted to break the glass and set them free. It was so cruel. I got out of the shop asap. I was shocked but my partners family who lives over there thought it was the norm and didn't see the big deal.
Oh and it wasn't just one dog in the box, in some boxes they had around 6 puppies. Poor wee things.

When I went on holiday to Spain about 3 years ago there was a pet shop in a shopping mall that had loads of cats and dogs in cages. It was quite shocking to see :(

I saw it in spain tooo, in a HUGE shopping centre! was it carrefor??

I can't remember what it was called but it was part of a large chain I think. I hadn't realised they still did that abroad so it surprised me. There were several cats and dogs in each cage :(

I saw them in Oz, they were selling pit bulls too

I saw them in Canada and also in Spain. I was very upset seeing this and left the stores. I just couldn't be there. Thank goodness we aren't allowed to do that here.
