Is baby engaged?

Hey guys, I live in NSW and am currently 32 weeks pregnant. I was just taking a look at my antenatal card and it says I’m 5/5 engaged which I thought meant not engaged at all. But, in the box beside engagement that says ‘presentation and position’ she’s written the letter ‘e’ which I can only assume means engaged? Anyone have any other ideas what this may mean or does 5/5 mean I’m fully engaged?

Yeah, I think 5/5 means your fully engaged. But... Baby can pop in and out of being engaged right up until labour sets in. This is especially true if its your 2nd or more baby.

Still, baby is head down and getting ready so it's all positive xx

I looked this up earlier as my midwife had written 4/5 on mine; it's unclear but people seem to suggest that what the midwives write is backwards. So 4/5 means they can feel 4/5ths of the head - so my baby was actually 1/5th engaged at my last appointment.

That's only what I saw from looking online though so they could be wrong. Baby can pop in and out of engagement but to be honest I think you'd feel it if they were fully engaged - I've felt so much pressure with mine getting even slightly engaged.

Maybe ask your midwife at your next appointment
