Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

Hi everyone.

I have been waiting for a long time to try to conceive due to financial reasons mainly, but last week got the news I'd been waiting for that meant I can now start trying.

So... this is my first cycle of officially trying for a baby, but I came off the pill in December. According to Ovia, I am in my fertile window now. I have bought ovulation tests which have come up negative so far.

I would love to hear from other people who have recently started trying, to share tips and provide support to each other.

I've been trying since my m/c last May. Prior to that I was lucky to get pregnant straight after stopping my pill.

I use ovia too as I think it's the most user friendly.
its funny that you should say that about your ovulation sticks, because each time I test on them, they come up negative! I don't use them now for that reason. I use the app and look for ewcm - then dtd around that x

Interesting! I will use them for now and see how it goes. Do you think that the app estimates your ovulation date fairly accurately? I also bought a thermometer today to potentially start temping.

I think I'm probably over thinking it all but just can't help myself!

Oh it's so easy to overthink!
TTC is a bloody mindfield! I thought it would be so easy.....when it did get so technical?!?!
I've actually been to the Drs to have my bloods done....just waiting on the oh to give his sample (cue immature giggles) to his Drs.
I need to start doing my temps. I was really good with them, but work came really stressful (not helpful) and I just kept forgetting. x

I've not used Ovia as I use FF. What information is it basing your fertile window on? Is it just using a previous cycle?

I find temping works well for me. I had a positive cheapie OPK on 25th Feb but the Clearblue was negative however, my temperatures indicate that I did actually ovulate.

I think it's definitely worth temping just as a back-up

Yes, it has data from 2 previous cycles at the moment, and has predicted my fertile window to be Monday-Friday this week.
