My son is called Odhrán and we have names picked out for this baby.

Cara for a girl

Fionn or Oisin for a boy

I would prefer Fionn but OH is leaning toward Oisin, I love them both so I'm happy either way..

I love Shea but too many people I know have used this x

hi love

Im not pregnant yet but am TTC.

Cara is beautiful. We have chosen Clara Beth for our girl name. I used to like Aoife but there are just far too many of them going about.

Fionn and Oisin are both good strong names with Fionn sounding the better of the two, but people might start spelling that Finn. I think Fionn goes better with Odhran. We've chosen Donal for our boy name. I also like Malachy. We did like Ruairi, but again far too many of them.

Good luck love xxx

I love Enya and my partner hates it but I will always love it but gave him the choice of two Enya or payton my son's name is Logan but for some reason that became very popular over the last few years so if we have a boy it's not Irish but very very unheard of name....

We had Fionn, Oisin and Ruairi on our list for a boy but they didn't really go with our surname :-(
We are thinking about Kathleen or Kitty after my Mum's family for a girl too.

I like Fionn with Odhran so they'd have different initials :)

Cara is lovely and goes with Fionn beautifully.
Xx

My hubby is half Irish so we have been looking at Irish names too. My problem is that a lot of them are not even nearly pronounced as they are spelt!

We have Aoife, Cora and Orlaith on our list. Hubby's Nana is called Dimpnah (sp) which neither of us liked!

Thanks for your input ladies, OH is def swaying more toward Oisin but time will tell, it might be Cara anyway

I love Cora :) that's the thing, I could have had Oran instead of Odhrán but I prefer the Irish spelling.. Totally personal choice x

Donal and Payton are lovely too  I liked Seosamh (Joseph in Irish pronounced shaw-sue) but OH hates it x

I love Cliona for a girl and I am in two minds as to slipping Cliona in somewhere is our bump turns out to be a girl. As much as I love Oisin for a boy the Dutch have issues with even the simplest Irish names so I think Irish names are out for me.

I am with you OH, go for Oisin if its a boy :D x

I quite liked Eireann for a girl and love Roan for a boy. We went for non Irish names in the end for both of our two though.

I love Saoirse, it has to be one of my favourite names but hubby is totally against Irish names as they're pronounced nothing like they're spelled, I'm not impressed but hey ho. I LOVE your choices, one of my closest friends is called, Oisin and we call him Osh for short xx
