We have a boys name chosen. But with 9 days to go still cannot decide on a girls name! We are having Rose as a middle name (after my nan). I like Irish names & I know old fashioned British names are making a comeback. But with so many to choose from I am severely overwhelmed!! Our son's name is Joseph Henry (after my grandad) Benn (after hubby's grandad). We liked Florence & Freya when we were expecting Joseph, but my sister in law has since had a little girl & called her Maisie Florence.
Any ideas please??????
Thanks.

I'm not sure this time!! We have discussed the names Freya, Evie, Holly & Edie. There are some names hubby loves & I hate & vice versa, but the above 4 are ones we agree on. But I want a name that will grow with them & not to be too baby cutesy, but a bit naff when they grow older. The above 4 I think will grow with them. But I am just so confused. There are other names such as Mabel, Willow, Ava & Florence that have been discussed, but again not 100% sure. Can't believe we've left it this late & still can't agree on them!!!
Last time we had lots of girls names, but other friends have since had girls & used the previous names we liked & this time we have a boys name sorted, but although on team yellow, sods law will dictate we will have a girl & no name for her!:roll::roll:

Penny, Rosemary, Dorethy, Enid, old names are lovely

Oh and Elsie it was top of my list at one point also love Evelyn.

I think if you like Florence, go for it :)

It's only your SILs daughters middle name - it won't be repeated until her wedding day ;)

I love Aiofa. Other Irish name I can think of is Saoirse (seer-sha). My neigbours named their daughter Niamh.
