iPhone help?

I just bought a tune of iTunes for a text message that goes "you have a text mother******".
It's awesome but wen I go into change text message ring tone it doesn't come up to change it to that, but when I go into change ring tone it has it in there but I don't want it as a ringtone I want it as a message tone

not very helpful - but i have to say none of my purchased ring tones can be used for a text tone. Not sure it can be done. ooops.

sorry - here's hoping there's someone else on here who can prove me wrong,
