Hi,

I have a midwife appointment on the 9th May....i will be 33 weeks....and i've been told that i'm having an internal scan, can anyone tell me why i might be having one of these with still 7 weeks to go, also what would they be looking for??

Thanks

you should find out i cant seem to think what they would be looking for when you are so far gone unless you have had complications (bleeding) or something. well good look anyway im back of to the 2nd tri i was just having a little look here at everyones lovely bump i cant wait! xxxxxxxx

Internal scans are either done very early on in pregnancy when it would be hard to detect baby with an external one or to check the cervix normally but don't know why they'd be doing that when you're so far gone
