Am scared incase it's starting :(
Had a shower about 25 mins ago, and while I was in it I got these awful pains across my tummy and feeling tight doesnt come even close, put the sower on it to ease it but it didnt work. It lasted for over a min or so. Had another one about 10 mins later. Am keeping an eye on the times cause I really dont feel right and havent all day, been so ratty, irratable and am now scared.
HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLp

Sherry hun just time them, you coulds be in earely labour but time them and if your pain s get worse or you have a show/waters break call your midwife sweetie! Just look after yourself!

Hey there
Still getting them but they seem to be easing a little, not as strong or long as the first 2, my stomach is still so tight though that my hernia has popped right out  Have calmed down a bit too, it really scared me, i know its going to happen and it has to happen sooner or later. Just so nervous now. xx

They sometimes do settle down but just keep a log of them and time how long each contraction lasts and how far apart they are.
When your contractions are over a min long and only 5 mins apart get your bags in the car and get to hospital!

Sod the labour and think about the little person you will get to meet and love at last after nearly 10 months! Good luck hun

Easy to say honey but try to relax.. Have you got a heat pack or a hot water bottle or something you can put on when you get the pain?

Like mrs tommo says.. time the pains and ring your midwife if it keeps up!

Good Luck honey keep us posted!

Ho exciting this could be the start. Good luck and keep us updated. Have you contacted your midwife yet?

Havent called her yet, just had Mum on phone telling me to call her, will do in a min.
Looks like the race is on soexcited, might just beat you to the finish line yet :rotfl: . Get jumping around or something lol

lol i tried sex the other night that didn't work. Might have to get on the hot curries (don't really like them). I cannot wait for it to start. Good luck!!!

Let us know when stuff starts happening sherry, could be a while yet though, but give your midwife a bell!

going up stairs 2 steps at a time.. i bet you it will work :)

Best of luck Sherry keeping everything crossed for you.

Good luck hunny, must be so exciting as well as scary

Sherry if you have a birthing ball sweetie, use it! it will help open up yourm pelvis and help you dialate faster, leading to a active and fast birth.

Well I called the midwife and she said the same as what I am doing and what all you ladies have said, keep an eye on timings, have a soak in the bath to ease some of the pains. Going for that in a short while. She thinks it could possibly be early labour from doing my action woman stunt down the stairs the other morning

Just packed Alec off to work (he only works literally 2 mins drive away) He is looking rather worried now lol. I feel okish, really achey on my lower back and my stomach has never looked so low, pains are less intense than earlier and not so frequent, still timing them.

Its all so different from when I went into labour with Josh, I was having double whammy contractions every couple of mins right from the start with him but, when I went into hospital I was only 2cm dialated. Just not knowing how things are going to go is doing my head in.

Still, as scarey as it is, I hope it is the real thing now and they wont just dissapear untill 2 more weeks or maybe more. Getting quite excited after being so scared earlier.

Thanks for all your support ladies

Good luck kid, were all thinking of ya, keep us posted.  :cheer: :cheer:
