i am sick of him intefering with Louie all the time :wall:
tonight should be Louies 1st night in his cot, he wouldn't go to sleep so i layed him in the cot happily playing with his activity thingy that attatches on side of cot.

anyway he is playing & i thought hopefully he would drop off after a while, but coz he keeps banging the activity thing & being a bit noisy,

Richard has bloody well gone & got him up & said 'i'm an idiot for thinking he'll go to sleep like this & that Louie is making too much noise & the neighbours will hear

FFS, he really pisses me off when he thinks he knows best with Louie & really he only wants Louie anyway when it suits him, IE when theres no football on & Louie is happy. :wall: :wall:

he keeps doing this lately with various other examples.

*update Louie is now asleep in his arms & he is very smug about it*
cor i sound like a bitch eh!!! its late , i'm knackered!!!!
thanks for listening!!!.

MEN ay! I know you know whas best for Louie hun but the men have to learn the hard way, when ians home at the weekend everything goes topsy turvy the routine goes out the window and its hectic, but its because i leave ian to it i encourage him to try his own methods and then when he cocks up i make suggestions etc because thats how i learnt. i know what alfie likes what he wants and when he wants it same as you do Louie hun, but this is why WE are the mummies, try not to see it as interfering hun but as a learning curve he may be all smug now thinking yes hes asleep in my arms but just wait untill it gets to the point he wont sleep anywhere but, then he will be more than glad to leave him to playing

Aww hun I cant stand it when Alan does stuff like that!!! it does my nut in!!!

next time he does it soak his half of the bed

i get annoyed at Mike whe he thinks he knows best, men know NOTHING!!!
he seems to think its ok to make Jamie hyper before bed so i leave him to settle him down for the night but it never happens!!! :x

Hello foxymum

You sound like a great Mummy, because you care so much about your little boy, and giving him a good routine, and I am sorry the OH isn't appreciating that hard work you're putting in

Dad's are learning like Mum's, and I know how upset my OH gets when everything is very Mummy focussed and men supposedly know nothing

I think it's more teamwork than anything, and by talking about what you feel and think with him about your baby boy, then baby will get the best from you both. Mummy's are much better communicators I agree with that, talk to your OH and let him see his errors, include him, don't let him make it a competition.

Hope I haven't upset anyone with that, it's not that I know anything from experience anyway, our first isn't due until June, get back to me around August time

Best Wishes

thanks girls for the messages.
hes done it again today, the kids go back to school on Tues coz of an inservice day, but i wanted them to go back to thier normal bedtime tonight so they have to get used to a new routine after staying up late in the holidays.
anyway i said at 7.30 pm to Josh who is 5 ' bedtime' & Richard says in front of Josh 'no he can stay up an extra half hour'
so i end up looking the 'bad guy' coz i say he needs some sleep ready for school on tues.
thats the sort of intefering that i mean.

ah i see then, a good sharp elbow to the nose when hes unsuspecting and then pin him to floor arm behind his back ready to snap and tell him "butt oyt bitch"should do nicely

 foxymum, I really hope he wakes up to the upset he's causing you, and you do come to a better understanding of each other and the kids' routines :)

That's great advice Nicky_Jones, and I do hope things are btter for you now, and Ellie's colic has gone

Thankfully the colic stopped when she hit 3months. Life became so much eaasier after that.

Hi

Hun how aweful, men think they are doing the right thing when we have good reason to do things the way we do it.
