SO after losing an early one this month, I thought i was ok, disappointed but ok. Turns out all it has done is make me sooooo broody i cannot function! Stupidly, before I even confirmed that I was pregnant with a test this time, I went out and bought a second hand (perfect condition) co-sleeper cot because leaning over to pick baby up out of the moses basket on the floor or on a stand was painful but i dont want baby constantly in the bed as i like to sleep on my front. Then we lost it. I know it was dumb to buy the thing, but its beautiful and was such a bargain that i thought it would be ok as we definitely do want another baby! This thing is now sitting in the corner of our room STARING at me. Yes i know im nuts, but it is a reminder that im not pregnant any more and wont get pregnant again until way after christmas and thats driving me daft!
Anyone else BROODY as a hen and done anything daft in their broodiness, buying on impulse for a hypothetical baby?!?!

hiya hun i cant help with the impulse buying but being broodyy is crazy!!

i have a nearly 8 yr old (11nov) and a nearly 2 yr old (7th nov) and id love love love another tiny baby!! doesnt help that my sisters pregnant my cousins pregnant and my mate has just had a tiny weeny baby!!

i know it wouldnt be good right now as i want to finish uni before i have another and that would give me a similar age gap to my two now and i like that age gap. But im so broody its unreal i love everything about being pregnant, labour, birth and a tiny baby. i love them reaching milestones ect.... everything appeals to me lol

so you are not alone im crazy even thinking it atm lol so im staying clear... saying that i am in an accidental 2ww and am not on any contraception so im asking for it really!!

You will have another baby so having that co sleeper isnt silly.... just tell yourself its waiting for your bundle of joy :)
do you have a reason for waiting till after xmas?? x x

Hey thanks so much for your response! 6 years gap wow you're amazing at patience!! lol well life gets chaotic around this time of year, we have puppies due by our working springer in november and they'll be here until january so ideally i'd rather not be sick around then, puppies were haaaaard work last time. I LOVED it all but i was 7months pregnant when we last had pups around and it was agony lol, not to mention exhausting! Also due dates, i would rather not be huge and pregnant in the summer months so we said after losing this one that we'll wait until after christmas, then decide whether to try or wait longer (eeeeek)

Im not normally an impulse buyer so it just seemed a tad overboard before the pee stick had even gained another line! lol i know time will fly in reality, seems only yesterday that my oldest was a babe in arms, but at the moment im living each day thinking about the baby missing from our family!

We have discussed purchasing various baby items when they come up for sale really cheaply locally and storing them. They wouldn't be associated with any specific pregnancy and I'm kind of pragmatic enough that if it didn't happen for us for whatever reason we'd just sell them or give them away.
