Infested!

Came earlier, emptied the bin but we're still left with the thousands of maggots out there to get rid of

The link he gave me only applies to a tiny amount of people in a couple Sure Start areas and is only an interest free loan to buy them! We don't even have a SS scheme where I live.

grossssssssss

th only good thing to come of this is the maggots take 6 days to turn into the lovely shiny flies :puke:
I had this when we had to dispose of our star-fish from our marine tank he was 10 inches long a big blue one wll we double bagged him but he was crawling in the bin in fact i thught he was stilla live! Till I looked

Well I lobbed a whole bottle of bleach and weedkiller (ur doh) and boiling water and they all died I think as I didnt see 'em anymore.
Kina I have never seen an infestation like on your bin before though, you poor thing. How is it now?

Hope you are ok?

Well they're pretty much all dead. DH is going to move all the bins out of the garden tomorrow and run the hose through the house to rinse down the front and get rid of all the dead ones. Plus my mum is going to get the bin cleaning guy to come round on Monday to wash the empty bin out for us, hopefully the problem will be all gone then

I'm ok thanks Bex, just really tired, nauseous (more than with Ella) and grumpy!! Can't wait for your news on Monday hon

Hi Kina that sounds like such an awful experience to go through :(

On a similar note have you ever experienced flying ants? I have had to squash (which I hate doing but OH insists) about 10 today in my ktchen. The windows weren't open so I'm thinking they are in the house somewhere.

If so what do you do to get rid?
